This brief presents key strategic and operational lessons from the Mekong Regional Land Governance (MRLG) project for designing land governance initiatives in politically complex environments. Drawing on MRLG’s decade-long experience across four countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam), the brief illustrates how the project adapted to political and policy shifts. These insights offer practical guidance to donors and implementers on building politically agile, inclusive, and resilient land governance programmes.
