Contribution of the multistakeholder platform on land governance to the formulation of national agricultural land tenure policies in Guinea.

The aim of the land reforms undertaken in Guinea since the 2000s has been to move away from the regulatory frameworks inherited from the colonial period, and use more local governance practices and institutions to secure land for as many people as possible. The National Multistakeholder Platform on Land Governance (PFMA), which was established in 2018, mobilises stakeholders to facilitate these political processes. This study identifies the lessons learned from the PFMA involvement in the land reform processes. This case study contributes to a larger Capitalisation of Experience that draws lessons learned from improving land governance through multistakeholder platforms for policy dialogue.
